Roger is frequently invited to contribute to podcasts and is always happy to talk about inclusive education, especially SEMH and the Instiitutional Indifference that disenfranchises too many of our children and families.
I was honoured to have Roger Mitchell join me on the “Able to Care” podcast. Roger is not just a Headteacher – he is a leader who lives and breathes inclusion, belonging, and unconditional positive regard.
His honesty about the challenges schools face, and his commitment to creating a truly emotionally available environment for children, families, and staff, was both refreshing and inspiring.

On Wednesday 1st October 2025, Roger recorded a podcast for Twinkl’s “In This Together” series hosted by Becky Dawson and Laiba Sheikh.
Unfortunately Laiba couln’t be there but Roger and Becky had a great conversation about wellbeing in schools – for the staff, the children and their families.
